Bouncing back from heartbreak

ree

Last week was yet another heartbreak for Chicago Bears players and fans alike. The final minute of gameplay was a roller coaster of emotions that tore some of us apart and for others left us in a pit that felt all to familiar. Some may blame poor game management, sloppy play, coaching, or poor officiating. For me this was a game was tough to watch as we honestly didn't seem ready to play. We came out offensively and had no sort of efficiency and let our defense down who played hard and only allowed 9 points in the first half while being on the field most of the half.

This week the Bears travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals 1.5 point underdogs. The Cardinals have been an up and down team that are looking to keep the lead in the NFC West. Our defense has played 13 consecutive games where they have held the opponent to less than 21 points. This will always keep us in the game till the end as long as the offense has any sort of life.

To win this game Caleb Williams needs to put last week behind him and step as a leader to make sure everyone's heads stay up and we get back to the confidence we had before the bye week. Last week was a hiccup, but I believe the offense can get it going again against the Cardinals Defense who has looked hit or miss this year letting up an average of 17.8 points per game. I also believe they wont have the same success they have been having offensively against our defense who hasn't let up more than 21 points and averages only 15 points per game given up.

I believe we get back to what works using Swift and Roschon to set up passes and let Caleb spread the ball around to Allen, Moore, Odunze, and Kmet. If we can do those things I believe we can succeed, but we do have an uphill battle with the injury report that we face. So far it still appears that Brisker and Gordon will be out for the defense and five offensive lineman that have been hurt with hopes Jones will be available.

My Prediction

Chicago Bears win 21-13
