Bearly Power Rankings: Pre-Week 4

ree

Three weeks are in the books, and we’re starting to see which teams are for real, which teams are frauds, and which teams are still searching for their identity. From clutch comebacks to late-game collapses, Week 3 gave us plenty to sort through. Here’s how the Bearly Power Rankings stack up heading into Week 4:

1. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

The champs keep finding ways to win, even when it looks ugly. Down 19-7 at half against the Rams, the Eagles woke up after a third-quarter fumble flipped momentum. Two touchdowns later, they were right back in it. Then in the fourth, the defense came up huge with two blocked field goals—one leading to a touchdown drive, the other a scoop-and-score. Philly wins 33-26. They don’t look invincible, but until someone knocks them off, they stay at the top.

2. Buffalo Bills (3-0)

On a short week against a winless Miami team, Buffalo started hot with two opening-drive touchdowns. But the Dolphins wouldn’t go away, tying it 14-14 at halftime. The Bills steadied themselves in the second half, scoring early in the third, then closing strong with a touchdown, interception, and field goal to win 31-21. Not their cleanest game, but Buffalo still looks like the strongest team in the AFC.

3. Los Angeles Chargers (3-0)

A gritty divisional win over the Broncos gives Harbaugh’s squad a 3-0 start. The Chargers aren’t flashy every week, but they’ve proven they can grind out tough games and make the plays that matter late. With momentum building, they’re officially a threat to run the AFC West.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0)

Baker Mayfield has this team believing. Even when the Jets blocked a field goal and returned it for a touchdown to take the lead, Baker stayed calm, marched the offense down the field, and stole the win back. This team has heart, swagger, and just enough firepower to stay undefeated.

5. Indianapolis Colts (3-0)

Jonathan Taylor is an absolute monster—102 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 17 carries. His dominance opens everything up for Daniel Jones and the passing game. Add in a defense that smothered Tennessee, and the Colts look like a balanced contender.

6. Los Angeles Rams (2-1)

The Rams had every chance to beat Philly, but settling for field goals cost them. Scoring on 5 of 6 first-half drives but only punching in one touchdown let the Eagles hang around. Then, disaster: two blocked field goals in the fourth quarter swung the game. Still, this team looks playoff-worthy—they just need to finish.

7. Detroit Lions (2-1)

Dan Campbell’s squad flexed again on Monday Night Football, rolling the Ravens in another offensive showcase. The Week 1 stumble feels more like a fluke now. The Lions look every bit like last year’s contender, only meaner.

8. Washington Commanders (2-1)

Marcus Mariota looked sharp, tossing for 207 yards while the run game piled up 201 more. Washington’s balance is starting to show, and with a softer schedule coming up, this team could build some momentum.

9. San Francisco 49ers (3-0)

They’re banged up, but still winning. Purdy should be back soon, but the schedule is about to toughen up. The Niners need health if they’re going to keep pace with the NFC elite.

10. Arizona Cardinals (2-1)

A safety gave them a late lead over the Niners, but they couldn’t hold on, losing 16-15 on a last-minute field goal. Arizona hasn’t impressed despite an easy schedule—bigger tests are coming, and that’s when we’ll know what they’re really about.

11. Green Bay Packers (2-1)

The Browns’ defense completely suffocated Jordan Love, holding him under 200 yards with a pick. Josh Jacobs couldn’t get going either, averaging under 2 yards per carry. This was a red flag—tough defenses might be their kryptonite.

12. Baltimore Ravens (1-2)

Another shootout, another loss. The defense continues to melt down in critical moments, and Derrick Henry’s fumbling issues are starting to become a concern.

13. Seattle Seahawks (2-1)

Sam Darnold is settling in, the offense is moving, and the defense is making enough plays. Seattle might be better than people think.

14. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1)

Trevor Lawrence isn’t convincing anyone yet—4 TDs and 4 picks through three games. This team has talent, but they continue to play down to their competition.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1)

Aaron Rodgers is steady, but not special anymore. This team will beat who they should, lose to who they should, and live in the middle.

16. Kansas City Chiefs (1-2)

Yes, they beat the Giants. But it wasn’t pretty, and if the Giants had a competent QB, KC might have lost. Mahomes and Reid will always give them a shot, but they desperately need to get healthy and sharp again.

17. Denver Broncos (1-2)

They’ve led every game going into the fourth quarter… and lost two of them. Sean Payton has to fix the late-game collapses or this trend will define their season.

18. Minnesota Vikings (2-1)

The defense dominated the Bengals with two picks and three fumble recoveries. The offense still has questions, but if the defense keeps this up, they’ll stay in the mix.

19. Cincinnati Bengals (2-1)

Without Joe Burrow, this team looks lifeless. Jake Browning was lost, throwing two picks and getting sacked three times. The defense isn’t helping either, giving up huge numbers weekly.

20. Las Vegas Raiders (1-2)

Too much pressure on Geno Smith, not enough push in the run game. Jeanty can’t even get to the line without being hit. This team needs balance fast.

21. Atlanta Falcons (1-2)

Kirk Cousins replaced Desmond Ridder midgame, but it was already over in a blowout loss to Carolina. Three turnovers and two missed field goals tell the story.

22. Carolina Panthers (1-2)

Bryce Young is still struggling, but the run game and field position gave Carolina a spark in a blowout of Atlanta. They showed some life, but it feels temporary.

23. Cleveland Browns (1-2)

The defense is elite. Rookie RB Quinshon Judkins ran wild (94 yards, 1 TD), giving this team a needed boost. If they find any offense, the Browns could get dangerous.

24. New England Patriots (1-2)

This is a project. Vrabel is still sorting out who fits his scheme, but expect them to sneak some surprise wins later in the year.

25. Chicago Bears (1-2)

Caleb Williams looked sharp, but was it progress or just the Cowboys’ awful defense? Either way, confidence is building, and a matchup with the Raiders is a chance to keep rolling.

26. New York Giants (0-3)

Russell Wilson is done—enter rookie QB Jaxson Dart. Pairing him with RB Skattebo might give the offense some spark. The defense has held up, but it can only do so much.

27. Dallas Cowboys (1-2)

This defense has fallen apart, and now with CeeDee Lamb out for a few weeks, the offense could sputter too. Things are looking shaky in Dallas.

28. Houston Texans (0-3)

They invent new ways to lose every week. Enough said.

29. Miami Dolphins (0-3)

They’re still winless, still lost, and still looking for answers.

30. New York Jets (0-3)

Nearly pulled off a stunner against Tampa, but left too much time on the clock. Aaron Glenn is still searching for his pieces, but this is a long-term rebuild.

31. New Orleans Saints (0-3)

No offense. No defense. No fight. Enough said.

32. Tennessee Titans (0-3)

Cam Ward has no help—dropped passes, bad protection, no run game. They have chances to get wins soon, but right now, this team looks like the NFL’s basement dweller.

That’s the Bearly Power Rankings heading into Week 4. Plenty of movement is coming, but for now, the Eagles still sit on top while a whole pack of 3-0 teams chase close behind.
