Top 25 Madness

As the games get more important win college football, it makes sense that the games get even crazier. The top 25 saw some big games, as well as some big upsets this past week. 18 USF fell to an unranked Memphis team. 23 Illinois also fell to an unranked team this week against Washington. While these two teams tumbled, we saw a few teams pick up some important wins this week. 8 Ole Miss took down 13 Oklahoma, 10 Vanderbilt beat 15 Missouri, and 3 Texas A&M beat 20 LSU. On top of their loss to Texas A&M, LSU also fired their head coach Brian Kelly this week.

Top 5 Teams

I think this season has been tough to see who is actually the best team in college football, and after this week, the picture has finally cleared up some. So, here is my list of the top 5 teams

1. Indiana

2. Ohio State

3. Alabama

4. Texas A&M

5. Georgia Tech

After their convincing win, Indiana is looking like the best team in college football right now. Ohio State will remain in the top 5 for me until someone manages to beat. Alabama has really turned their season around and is a favorite for me to win the SEC. Texas A&M has become one of the best teams in the nation and continues to add big wins to their resume. Finally, Georgia Tech is the only undefeated team in the ACC and continues to win games.

Group of 5 on the Rise

Every week I look to visit the group of 5 teams and look over who could be that team to have a chance at a cinderella run in the playoffs. This week USF fell to Memphis and not only does it give Memphis an edge over USF and a shot at winning the AAC. It also gives Memphis a much better shot a being in the playoffs. North Texas is also having a lot of success in the AAC as well as Navy. The MWC also has a handful of teams that could make some big moves, San Diego State, Hawaii and Boise State all 3 looking to finish strong a make a case for their teams to be in the playoffs.

Week 10 preview

We have some very exciting matchups this week for college football. To start off we will want to keep an eye on 9 Vanderbilt vs 20 Texas. Vanderbilt will be facing their fourth ranked team in a row, while Texas is hoping to stay within the top 25 with a much needed win. 18 Oklahoma vs 14 Tennessee is going to be one where both teams need the win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Lastly, 17 Cincinnati vs 24 Utah. Both teams have been playing great football this year and have a shot to be in the big 12 championship as well as in the playoffs. Now, like every week, here are some sleeper games to keep an eye on. Penn State vs 1 Ohio State, West Virginia vs 22 Houston, 10 Miami vs SMU, 5 Georgia vs Florida, 16 Virginia vs California, 13 Texas Tech vs Kansas State, and 23 USC vs Nebraska.
